Windows updates not working now Ive installed AVG

Could you please let us know the exact error message when you try to update windows if you are receiving any? Also, please try to disable AVG protection temporarily and check if you could perform the windows updates.
To disable AVG temporarily, please right click on the AVG icon in your system tray at the bottom right hand corner of your desktop and drag the button against Protection to Off.

since loading avg antivirus & cleaner I'm having trouble with windows updates now? what can I do to correct this?
