Running again. I used Toshiba Recovery and it took it back to a restore point and it is now working. I'm using the Quick Tune Up to fix the Registry Errors.

Hi Robert, I apologize for the inconvenience, have you installed the AVG PC TuneUp in your computer ? please keep pressing Space-bar key repeatedly as quick as possible to skip the repair. You can also try to boot to windows by pressing F8 key . please try these two options and let us know if you have any issue. thank you

Tried to start my laptop this morning but it goes directly to Startup Repair. Checking all the help sites and they ask what was the last thing you did or installed. The last thing that I did before shutting down this computer was update AVG free. Anybody have any ideas ?
Hitting the space bar doesn't do anything.
F8 gave me a menu, but don't know what to choose.
Looking at details after the startup repair didn't work the only thing it showed was registry corrupt!
