Windows XP 32-bit AVG installation: unexpected error 0xe00100b0

Trying to install AVG_Protection_Free_1606.exe on Windows XP 32-bit, after installing Windows XP SP4 Unofficial 3.1b. Getting "unexpected error" 0xe00100b0.
Before installing the unofficial SP4, the installer gave a different error message :- "avgsetup.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close."

Robert, Windows XP SP4 Unofficial 3.1b… AVG is actually compatible with Win XP SP3. Have a look @ this AVG article (http://avgread.me/1Ewajhi).

We do understand your concern, we apologize for the difficulties. AVG is compatible with Win XP SP3, so we would request you to run the AVG remover tool to remove all the remnants of the failed installation.

Refer this article to uninstall http://avgclick.me/UninstallAVGAV your AVG program. Kindly download your AVG remover and run it, then go to C: -> AVG Remover -> Bin -> pctremover.exe and avgfmwremover.exe (do not restart your device if prompted), then run avgremover.exe (it will automatically reboot your device).

Then please remove the AVG folders manually as suggested below. Go to Run window (press windows key and R key simultaneously) and type the following comments to delete the folders.

  1. Type  “Temp” and press enter, remove all the files.
    2.  “%temp%” and remove all the files.
    3.  %appdata% - Remove all the AVG folders.
    4.  %programdata% - Open the AVG folder and remove the old files.

    Please go to c: drive-> program files and delete the AVG files and download your AVG program from our official site: http://www.avg.com/us-en/download . Please feel free to get back to us for any issues with AVG. Thank you!

AVG hadn't already been installed on this installation of Windows XP.
As you can see from my original message, AVG didn't install before nor after installing the unofficial SP4. It was SP3 before. Thus, AVG didn't install on this Windows XP installation with SP3. Could you look up the error code and tell me what it means?
