Automatic (recommended): Where possible, AVG Secure VPN connects using the the OpenVPN protocol. If connection via OpenVPN fails, the application automatically switches to the Mimic protocol.
WireGuard beta: AVG Secure VPN always connects using WireGuard beta.
Mimic: AVG Secure VPN always connects using the Mimic protocol. This is useful in countries with restrictions on VPN use, where OpenVPN may be blocked.
OpenVPN: AVG Secure VPN always connects using the OpenVPN protocol.
Note : Mimic is only available on devices running Windows 10 and later.
For MAC & iOS, the available protocols are : Automatic, IPsec & Mimic.
