Won't install and can't recognize my email~

I downloaded and ran a new version of AVG.    But I see a message on my tool bar that says it is not turned on.  When I get into that. . it shows my old version that expires tomorrow…not the newest one.    When I requested a new license number to try again . . I am told my email address is not recognized yet I am POSITIVE it is correct.

When I get to the window that says my protection is not turned on and click . .turn it on . . it does nothing.  Augh!   Help!
