Won't install...refund?

We're sorry to know that you've decided to cancel the AVG subscription.  
However, upon checking our records, we see that you've raised a refund request & the concerned team has already initiated the refund process.

I was "convinced" to pay for a subscription for "greater protection"  After I paid and downloaded the installer, it would not install because

"AVG Antivirus is already installed, please uninstall the previous version first."

So I went to support to find out how to do this...unfortunately, when I followed the directions, it said AVG could not be uninstalled because it was "damaged or missing"...

Don't have the old free version...new version won't install because of some "ghost" of the old program

Stuck...how to get a refund???
