Won't let me input new activation code bought from store

I just bought AVG Internet Security for 3 PCs for 2 years from my local store.
I entered the activation code but the system won't overide the free version I currently have .
I get this warning :

You already have this subscription

Your account already has AVG Ultimate, which includes AVG Internet Security - Unlimited.

You can install that subscription on this PC by downloading it here and logging in with your MyAccount from inside the app to get all your features.

Or

Create a new MyAccount to start a new AVG Internet Security - Unlimited subscription.

I never paid for  Ultimate , I have the free version.
