Please reboot your device http://avgclick.me/rebootintosafemode in safe mode, click on this link to run Reset Access tool: http://files-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_ResetAccess.exe and refer this article to uninstall http://avgclick.me/UninstallAVGAV your AVG program.
Kindly download your AVG remover and run it, then go to C: -> AVG Remover -> Bin ->pctremover.exe and avgfmwremover.exe (do not restart your device if prompted), then run avgremover.exe (it will automatically reboot your device).
Dear friends and fellow sufferers,
I renewed my licence for avg internet security yesterday (avg also tricked me into buying something i don't needed - it also elongated a previously existing subscription without telling me).
Now. The firewall is up. But virus protection and spyware protection are down and won't update. It just tells me "General error" everytime I try. I tried for three hours yesterday, tried to reach support on phone and email - both failed, and tried every single support article written on that topic that I could find.
I even reset my whole PC today and it still doesn't work.
What can I do? Or: Would somebody please help me before I explode of anger?
