Won't update or uninstall

Hello Peter,
Let we first appreciate your valuable efforts which you have taken to fix it. No need to worry, we are here to help you. We would request you to  let us know whether you are trying to install AVG trail  or a paid version and also mention your product name to assist further.
If you are trying to install AVG trial version, We would request you  to remove previously installed program traces of (AVG 2015 or AVG 2014)from your system using AVG Remover tool and then try to reinstall AVG Protection Free.
Note: If you have installed any other conflicting programs like AVAST, NORTON, McAfee or KASPERSKY  try to uninstall it.
Once you have uninstalled from your system,try to follow the steps which mentioned below.

First AVG would not update or even repair itself so I tried uninstalling to try a fresh install. It won't uninstall either! i get an error "general error [0x0782] Error code: 0xC0070782

Remover and Download:
1) To download AVG remover tool, please click on this link:  http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-reinstall-AVG
2) Run the downloaded file and follow the onscreen instructions.
3) Restart your PC when the restart option is displayed on the remover tool screen.
4)Once you have logged into your PC after the restart, please go to C:\ drive and delete the "AVG REMOVER" folder manually.
Note : Please use the AVG Remover tool mentioned on the article to uninstall the AVG program more effectively.
