Hello Jl,

AVG will automatically scan for incoming & outgoing emails if Email shield & Anti-spam is enabled.
You will receive a notification if the email contains virus. You can right click on the attachments and choose Scan with AVG to perform a manual scan.

How do I use AVG to scan a document attached to an email  for a virus ?
