It looks like 'sensitive data shield' feature of AVG is protecting the documents.
If this feature is protecting, then it will not allow anyone to access the files.
Please refer this article and follow the steps as mentioned under "Manage protected documents".
You should be able to edit or make changes to the files once they aren't protected by this feature.

AVG, is protecting my documents; But it seems it is turning all the docs to read only. I create a doc, go to save and I get an error message that it can't save because permission error. So I check the properties of the doc and find out it is READ ONLY. Other times it just loops back to the save screen again. going into the file menu and you can see the file but it has 0 zero as the amount of bits.
HELP, is this a bug in AVG file protection??? I am about to uninstall all my AVG. Help
Or is Microsoft trying to get me to upgrade and buy new software?
