World of Warcraft not starting

Hello, Antonio

We will help you in this.
Let's disable the AVG temporarily and check to make sure that AVG is causing this issue.
You can use the below link for the steps :

If you are able to access the game with AVG disabled, then we need to disable each component individually to find the root-cause.
Keep us posted to help you further.

Hi, Rakshith. Sorry for the late answer, I was preoccupied otherwise and had no time for games, so I forgot about the AVG issue as well.

I just did what you suggested me, but it didn't work. I also tried a complete uninstallation and reinstallation previously - which, I would think, it's more complete than just a repair - and didn't help, either: in both cases, the WoW process keeps in the background, running, but the window doesn't appear, until I disable AVG protection. I mean, it's weird and I have no idea what can cause this :/

May I ask for any more ideas on how to solve this, please? ^^'

Hello,

so I've been having this problem since 2 updates ago, I don't know... a month, maybe? I was hoping one more update would solve it, but it hasn't so I am asking here.

Currently using version 20.4.3125 of AVG Free and Battle.net works perfectly and I can start other games, like Diablo III or Hearthstone... but not World of Warcraft: I have to disable AVG shields, let the program start, then enable the shields again. It's not much of a hassle, but it is an unnecesary hassle, nonetheless xD Am I the only one with this problem currently? (I've just found 2 other posts, one from 2016 and another from 2018). Already tried setting some exceptions for both WoW and Battle.net folders and reinstalling AVG, but it haven't worked.

Any ideas how to fix it?

Antonio, we appreciate your efforts but regret to hear that the issue persists.
To analyze the issue further, we need some logs from your PC.
I have sent an email containing instructions to collect those logs and upload them to us.
Please send the logs as requested to help you further.

Hello, Rakshith

Thanks for answering. It's definitely AVG, but not an individual shield. I can disable all 4 of them and the game won't start, unless I disable them through that right-click on the taskbar icon and disable protection, only then, the game window appears. Unless I do that, the game starts its process, and remains there in the task administrator, using 20% of my CPU and ~268 MB RAM xD In fact, I had to disable it there to test each shield separately, though unsuccessfully.

By the way, I said Diablo III started and it wasn't exactly true, it only starts and the logo appears, as if the game was charging, but the game window won't open either xD Hearthstone does start with AVG active, without any problems, though. I honestly have no idea what's causing this :/
