Wrong message from AVG

I got a message from AVG telling me my Internet security protection has expired 8 days ago, sent out from a " no reply "  email address while  the icon on my desktop is telling me I am good for hundreds of days yet. Does anyone else get nuisance emails from AVG like this ?
