I have been billed for something I did not authorise. I recently purchased a laptop because my old one black screened and installed the AVG free edition on it along with some other security software and then today I was notified that I had been charged for an annual AVG VPN package when I do not and have never used AVG VPN!
I recall a couple of months ago these ‘addons’ being installed on my old laptop (just before it crashed) as part of the update (with or without my permission) but have never given consent to subscribe to them. I thought I would post here first to try and resolve the issue as AVG has always been a trustworthy company in my view, but if that is not possible I will have to call my credit card company and PayPal to instigate charge back/ case resolution immediately.
I look forward to some feedback from the AVG team seems there is no way to directly message them.
