Thanks for the info.
I already fixed it I think, at least I don't have any more popups (touch wood).
I only use Microsoft edge on freemagazines.top because I have Adblock on Firefox and freemags---- don't allow Adblock.
Anyway another website suggested a "factory reset" of M/Edge and it apparently worked.
