Apparently both Thunderbird and AVG rolled out updates today, or maybe last night. Anyway, I'm suddenly faced with Thunderbird telling me every time I try to download any messages: "Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox."
Well, I've deleted over 600MB of attachments from my inbox (and compacted it), and re-started both Thunderbird and the whole PC (in safe modes, even) – and there's no improvement. I tried to import the .der file to Thunderbird, following the instructions in another help chain – and it said the file was already there (though I don't see it listed), but again there has been no improvement.
I work from home with my laptop, and I need to be able to access e-mail. Could someone at AVG please consult with Thunderbird and bridge the technical disconnect between you two?
