'You are not protected' message

Hello Andy,

This isn't the experience we want you to have and I apologize for the inconvenience caused. From your account, I see that you have an active AVG Internet Security license for 3 computers valid till 5/22/2019. The not protected message occurs when the program didn't activated properly. Please go to AVG > Menu > About > Subscriptions > Check if the expiry date is showing correctly. If not please refer this article https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?&urlName=Download-and-install-AVG-Protection to activate the program with the license number.

A Google search indicates that this problem has been around for some time and I'm surprised and disappointed that AVG has not found a solution. I have a multi-user licence and installed AVG on a brand new machine today. The same problem - the 'you are not protected message' alongside a completely useless 'Fix Now' button - appeared immediately after installation. This suggests the AVG I downloaded today has the fault included in it - so a reinstall is pointless.

If AVG can't fix this, how much confidence can any of its customers have in the company's ability to carry out its primary role of protecting us from viruses?
