Yes we must. Ignore Error Status/Update Manager merely changes the white text beneath the red warning. There were several complaints about this on the old forum, but AVG did not listen.
If I don't check the "automatic definition update" box, will I always get that "You are not fully protected" (red) warning everytime I open the AVG 2014?
I like to manually update definitions and that is why I uncheckd the "automatic updates."
Must we click on that "automatic updates" in order for the (red) "You are not fully protected" to go away?

I recently disabled scheduled program updates, which does not cause the "You are not fully protected" warning. I just noticed that this also prevented an automated AM database update (running AVG Free build 4716), but I presume that the scheduled PM database update will still occur. I forgot to mention before that Ignore Error Status will not even remove the yellow triangle from the tray icon, making the setting virtually useless.
