Hi, I am getting the "You are not protected. Computer protection is turned off" message. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but the message is still there.
Both "file shield" and "Behaviour shield" are turned on and active and I've tried repairing AVG but the "You are not protected" message is still there.
How do I turn the computer protection on?
Regards
Ant
Hello, Ant H.
We're here to help. Did you use AVG Remover and Clear tools to uninstall the product when you tried re installation? Because, traces from previous version of AVG may conflict with new setup.
If you have not, please click this link for steps to download and run the Clear and Remover tools.
Hi,
I have several of our Client Stations reporting this same issue (Version 18.4.3056) 'You are not fully protected', when you click the 'Fix Now' button, AVG will show a healthy state for one or two hours before failing again.
I have tried using AVG Clean and AVG Remover and these do not help in my case, as soon as the Clients have AVG installed on them they begin to fail. Our AVG install is managed from an AVG Server running AVG Admin and all the Clients are connected correctly with Remote Admin running.
The Clients which seem to be affected are all Windows 10 machines. After reading above about checking to see if 'File Shield' and 'Behaviour Shield' were both running on the boxes, I found a difference between the failing Clients and a Windows 10 machine that did not have the problem. It did not have 'Behaviour Shield' installed.
On a few of the affected Clients, I have now uninstalled the 'Behaviour Shield' and they are now working as expected and do not show the 'You are not fully protected' message any longer.
Uninstalling 'Behaviour Shield' has fixed this issue for me on my Clients. I can't see how this component is being installed as it isn't listed as an option in the Remote / Network Install wizard and I assume it's part of the 'Resident Shield'.
Please investigate any incompatability of this component with Windows 10, all other Desktop and Server OSs appear to be OK.
Thanks, Mark.
It should work Victor.
Mostly if you have old version or corrupted file during update will not work when you click on "Fix now".
Have you tried with re-installation?
That's great, Ant.
We appreciate your efforts.
Have a great day!
Why is there a "Fix Now" Button when it does nothing?

Furthermore the "Business products" area has now been removed from the 'Community topics' list @ the top LHS of this page. Finally please be informed that the support for "Business products" is not now available within this Community.
