"Your AVG AntiVirus Free has expired" nag screen

We would like to clarify that AVG Antivirus free version does not have an expiration period. 
Please uninstall AVG Antivirus free, reboot the PC, and then reinstall the program and check if that helps.

After uninstalling the program, please reboot the PC to apply the changes and then install AVG Antivirus free using the below article.

I am aware that AVG Free  has expired and so soon I don´t intend to extend the subscription. Is there a way to put a stop to the nag screen ?    Silent mode is on but the screen comes up.  I am considering to uninstall AVG.
