Your connection is not secure

Hi Sue,

We suggest you to disable AVG Anti virus free to check with the issue. Please disable AVG program temporarily (Right click on AVG in the system tray and turn off the protection) and check the status. If the issue resolved after disabling AVG, I would suggest you to disable each component in AVG to verify which component is causing the issue. Please open AVG Antivirus Free, click on Menu->Settings->Components and toggle the On/Off slider to disable each component. And also reset your Firefox browser and check if that resolve the issue.

Thanks

I am getting "Your connection is not secure" using firefox on websites. It happens every few days and then not able to use firefox.  It only happens on  all "https:" sites.  Only way to fix the problem is a restart.  No problems with Chrome.  The firefox community has given me several things to check, but still have the problem.
Switched to Avast free, but still had the problem.  Went back to AVG free and problem back again today.  Was wondering if any AVG free user has had this problem?

Thanks,  Sue

I thought for a minute the problem had gone away,  6 days,  but then today,  got my "Your connection is not secure" message again on all websites.  Problem would not go away with restarting firefox.  Disabled each component one by one trying firefox again.  Problem went away when I disabled "web shield".  When I enabled all the components including web shield,  I am able to get to all websites again. Do I have to disable "HTTPS scanning" and would it come back with updates and will this lessen my protection??

Thanks,  sue

Only on firefox,   Chrome works OK, at least I think so,  have used it for days waiting to do a restart.  I will uninstall and use windows antivirus.  May take a week.

Thanks,  Sue

I have been using Windows defender since the 18th and have had no problems.  Will reinstall AVG today.  If I have the problem,  I will first try to reset firefox.  There has been a firefox update since I last had the problem.

Sue, You should not disable HTTPS scanning since it will scan for the secure Websites. Are you facing this issue only in Firefox browser or in other browsers too? Please uninstall AVG Free from your PC and monitor the status for 2 day

Sue, If you are using Win 8 onwards Windows Defender may conflict with AVG since it was re-classified into a full AntiVirus prog…
