Your protection has expired but I have a free AVG

I thought I had changed from the paid AVG to the free one and I did so because I objected to a 17% increase as well as a charge being made to cover a laptop which appears stupid because I can't use the desktop and laptop at the same time.
I'm now so annoyed at the way AVG behaves i'm going to look elswhere.
