That's exactly what they are doing Dave. It's become a joke I get the your search provider pop up on a daily basis at least. Last night I got another one which wouldn't go until I changed my home page to google there is clearly something going on. I get told everyday that my web rtc shield on my vpn is a potential risk as well - that's obviously because they are wanting us to pay for avg vpn. There didn't used to be all this rubbish.
I just got this same message for the first time today. Crazy. Is this supposed to be interpreted as though **Google** is a safe search engine??? As in the same Google that tracks everything that everyone does and skews its search results constantly to try to steer people towards its own way of thinking on virtually every topic under the Sun? THAT Google?
There is simply no excuse for this. You are preying on non-computer people who don't know any better, which makes you morally equivalent to the scammers that go to old people's houses trying to convince them that they will "help" them with some much needed repairs. That is seruiously evil.
Hello, Juan.
Could you provide a screenshot (http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot) of the AVG pop up? Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions to upload the screenshot.
I am sick of seeing this pop up. What is avg issue with duckduckgo or are they just colluding with the likes of google to get everyone back to the data miners?

Juan, we have already got your screenshot and I have also replied to it.
Please check the response in this thread and reply us back again.
Dave, I will certainly check this for you.
Please share us the screenshot http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot of the pop-up you received to assist further.
i've tried to three times in the last half hour and each time my reply is vanishing.
Karthikeyan, thanks for your reply. I will grab a screenshot of it if and when it pops up again. I do not know if I did anything specific which triggered it the last time, so I don't know how to get it to reappear.
