Yum and curl access through avg internet security

Hello Charles,

Let us change the network profile of AVG Firewall to private and check the status.
Open AVG Internet Security program interface.
Click on "Menu–>Settings–>Components–>Customize" of Enhanced Firewall.
Select "Network Profile" and check the internet connection profile.
If it is set as "Public", click and change it to "Private. Click Ok and then check the status with Yum and Curl access.
Keep us posted.

thanks for your response.

Hello running VMware® Workstation 14 Pro on HP Windows 10. Running on FIOS home network.

VMWare vms are CentOS 7

From vm, cannot yum install packages. Cannot curl www.centos.org

When i disable AVG Internet Security, yum and curl work, can pull packages.

What is needed to configure AVG without disabling AVG Internet Security?

Problem persists even with your suggested changes. "Network unreachable" is error i get when i try to yum. can ping kloth.net, nslookup cnn.com   Using bridged adapter on vm which is running on VMWare Workstation.   Do not have this problem with  Virtual Box vms set up in a similar way.

Thanks for your help on this.
