Well if there is a solution, I never got one. The only thing I could figure out is that this version (or ZEN) is not compatible with Windows XP. I have since switched to WIN 7 and everything works as it should. Sorry…
Is there a solution for this, I have exactly the same issue on an Acer Aspire 5315 laptop running Vista home premium installing AVG Protection. Have uninstalled and reinstalled several times, still get the same screenshot as above with untrusted connection when I try to login into my account. HAve installed AVG Protection on a desktop, laptop and 3 andriod devices without this issue.
Need to get it on this laptop now, please post resolution or update to issue.
thanks
Ian

Craig, If you use the tool correctly the output should be sent directly to AVG.

Hi Ian, thanks for the information, but AVG ZEN works in Windows XP also , reinstalling AVG ZEN should solve the issue. Its good to know you have installed it in Windows 7
Hi Craig,
In order to analyze it further please provide us with diagnostic output (run it after inducing described behavior) using this tool and please add detailed description of issue.
Thanks
Hi Craig,
Just to be clear so you are reffering to http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Registering-AVG-bought-online-or-in-a-retail-store and you are receiving that message in your browser at http://www.avg.com/retail ?
Thanks
I have been trying to activate my retail copy of AVG Protection and get stuck at the ZEN message of "Untrusted Connection". I have installed, uninstalled, re-installed, uninstalled, re-installed several times and still get the message. i cannot register my purchased copy as a result. I have changed browsers from Explorer, Chrome and Firefox (which I prefer) but still cannot get past the "untrusted Connection" message. Any suggestions??

I believe I may have misspelled my email address (transposed 2 letters) when I initially entered the unique code during initial installation. I therefore never recieved any emails to verify the initial submission of the code. When I try to re-enter the code through the submission process it says that it has already been submitted. Anyway I can go in and correct my email address on the original submission? Or reset my code so I can start over?
I have run the tool and have the output. Is there an email address to attach the file to?
Hello Craig
First make sure that you have managed to activate properly AVG Protection
And Zbynek says
Most likely you get the message - "Untrusted connection" comes from within the browser website, or by AVG
If you purchased AVG Protection, by a third party. then you will get a unique code. which is required to activate the AVG Protection, following the link given to you by Zbynek here
You can also create a screenshot of the message and upload it here
| AVG (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?q=screenshot+&urlname=How-to-create-a-screenshot&l=en_US)
Please tell here what was the result
Thanks

Craig
If you receive a message - that already been submitted. It maybe your code has been activated in the same email that you have submitted. (If you have it wrong, you correct it
First login to your AVG MyAccount
https://myaccount.avg.com/eu-en/my-account-login
There must be information on what you have purchased your subscriptions and other actions
Please check if there are licenses available for activation of AVG product in your AVG MyAccount profile
If information is missing then please tell here
Note; Keep in mind that the email you received from AVG is not spam folder. sure.
Thanks
