They've not only forced Zen onto those of us who don't want it or need it but the latest version of AVG has also taken a lot of control away from the user in favor of doing everything itself with no input or choice on our part. The new interface is awful as well in my opinion.
To the AVG technical people answering questions here about AVG Zen, you need to walk down the hall and speak to your marketing department, because the Zen “campaign” has RUINED your company’s reputation. Zen is being forced onto existing AVG installations–first as a Program Update, and now even more deceptively as a simple Definitions Update.
The AVG techs answering questions on this forum seem unaware of how the rollout is being implemented without user permission.
To AVG: goodbye and good riddance. The sheer amount of time I’ve had to spend cleaning your Zen crap off the machines I maintain has frustrated me so much that I intend to utterly PURGE ANYTHING AVG and avoid all your products from here on.
