Hello Jan,
If you're receiving a pop-up from AVG regarding Icarus.exe, please click on "allow" and check if the issue persists.
You needn't worry, as the Icarus.exe is safe and is associated with your AVG programs.
Thanks in advance.
It is nice to know that "Icarus.exe is safe and is associated with our AVG programs"!
"Simply answered, icarus.exe is safe and is our product, and is further associated to your installed AVG product(s). When said AVG product(s) are launched, icarus.exe checks for any available update of the product launched, is it's intended behavior."
Why does a AVG Program check for updates 10 times a day?
It is NOT NICE that the AVG FIREWALL POP-UP keeps asking me X times a day, if I allow the aktion of the program!
And to answer your next question! The box below "ALLOW", "SAVE ANSWER" is marked "YES"!

I do not like the daily warning on icarus, how can you stop that ???
and a fun thing i saw when searching icarus.exe is a lot of people are asking, some of the support want loggs, some want gogledrive stuff if i remeber, but how hard is it to say we had a misstake, a malware cam in to our updates or something i dont know how it happens but similar i would guess anyway.. I have asked them all what happend to them and put the link here in their answers so more people can get the help they deserve because we have all payed.
I guess we all have if I would guess because you dont have a illegal colie and crack and tuff and then go to support and complain. All i want is to feelsafe but when icarusexe want to connect i DENY it so it feels unsafer with a program that should make it safe.
I stop now, could write an essay on this right now. I pay for antivirus and firewall, the firewall say something in it's own and the antivirus folders are maybe somethink how should i know that is why i searched google and one of the first hits was icarus malware can be a fake file or something and the rest is from this site. One was something about some asus file.
I just hope that avg is working and keeping me safe because I don't feel safe and that is not good right? As it should antivirus and firewall when the firewall is warning you about avg's own files, I block them i have blocked 4-5 tries from icarus.exe to connect to internet because your firewall don't even know what the files is in it's own folder.
Hi Daniel.
We have requested assistance from our senior technical team.
We will get back to you once we have a response from them.
Appreciate your patience meanwhile.
so how many people have to ask avg if their icarus.exe program is a malware or not? It's and yes or no question IS IT SAFE ? YES/NO ?
I will never pay a company a 2nd time if they are not answering questions in the public about their own f'ing files. It i very suspicious.

Hello Daniel. Thank you very much for taking the time to write, and I apologize for the delayed response.
My name is Shawn, and I am writing on behalf of the AVG Senior Support team. The experience you shared, is not the intended experience we wanted for you to have had, and I apologize for any confusion or concern.
Simply answered, icarus.exe is safe and is our product, and is further associated to your installed AVG product(s). When said AVG product(s) are launched, icarus.exe checks for any available update of the product launched, is it's intended behavior.
I trust this explanation helps clarify your concern. Thanks, Shawn
