Initially, change the location/server of your AVG Secure VPN (to either optimal location/P2P/Streaming) & check if you're still unable to access those websites.
If the issue persists after changing the location, we'd request you to reinstall your AVG Secure VPN once & check if the issue still persists.

I am having the same issues as other users when visiting shopping sites (i.e. Macy's - Bloomingdales etc)  VPN should be able to be activated when visiting these sites.  If we turn the VPN off - we are putting our information at Risk.  There must be a better way.  Also the VPN is constantly turning off - this is a Big Problem. If this persists we will have to use another company for this service.
