"Please connect to the internet." This error occurs when your AVG product cannot connect to the internet to verify your activation code. Check that your internet connection is working, then try to activate the product again.
If you are still facing the issue, try changing your DNS settings so that your AVG product can communicate with the appropriate server, refer to the following article:

After that try to activate the subscription.

Thanks for the suggestion. However, changing my DNS settings has not resolved the issue. The activation code is still not recognised or I get the message suggesting that I am not connected to the internet.
Any other suggestions?

Attempting to activate my AVG tune up, but when I enter the activation code I get an error message telling me that I am not connected to the internet.
My Mac is connected to the internet and functioning correctly, but I still can activate the product?
