On AVG Secure Browser screen my shortcuts are shown, it also shows a + sign with add a shortcut written below it. When you tap on this, a widow opens that says add a shortcut with a space to type in a name and URL.
If you are unable to find the shortcut in home page, I request you check if you are using the latest version.
If you are still facing the same issue, I request you try uninstalling (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=Uninstall-AVG-Secure-Browser) then reinstalling (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=Install-AVG-Secure-Browser) it.
Please let us know if reinstall helped to resolve the issue.

The add shortcut button in the AVG Secure Browser doesnt work and trying to find the answer instructs me to look for a pencil icon on the lower right which does not exist. So if the add shortcut button doesnt work, how does someone add a shortcut?

You state the obvious but i am telling you I have the latest version of AVG secure browser and I press "add shortcut". Then i get a little box where I add te Name and URL. I press the add shortcut button and nothing happens. No shortcut is added. it is broke and wont add shortcuts.

Ok this is getting a little too complicated for me. I've had some issues with TeamViewer in the past and I am not comfortable with anyone on my computer. I described what a screen shot would show. Quite simply all you would see is my 5 shortcuts with the add shortcut underneath them. That is all you can see. I'll just have to manually load my pages like I have been doing it. I got a lot of bookmarks so I was looking for adding some shortcuts but my browser doesn't want to cooperate. Thanks for your help but it appears I can't get proper help so it is just easier to drop it and manually load pages.
