I bought a Minisforum miniPC 2 years ago that came with Windows11 Pro 64. I installed AVG Secure Browser then. It worked flawlessly for the 2 years until 20/2/25 when I got a request from AVG to turn off my PC so they can update my AVG Secure Browser.
When I next powered up my PC the AVG icon still in the Taskbar at bottom of screen, but no longer responds when I click it. Nothing happens other than a 1 sec appearance of a ‘busy’ hourglass icon. Powered down & up a few times but same result. Very annoying to have to start afresh with basic Chrome Browser.
-I had a lot of open tabs from work in progress. Are they lost ?
-Did this security update on 20/2/25 affect others ?
-Is there a simple fix ?
-Do I need to install AVG afresh ? If so, should I first uninstall prev, install, or can a new install use my existing settings and Addons ?
