Allow file transfer on same network with AVG In

My Windows 10 PC has Defender Firewall set by AVG Internet Security to Not Connected.
My Windows 7 PC has Windows Firewall set to Off by AVG Internet Security
How do I configure AVG on these machines to allow file transfer between them?

Hello George,

Let's try to change the network type to Private and check its status.

Open AVG Internet Security -> Menu at the top right -> Settings -> Components -> Enhanced firewall -> Customize -> System rules -> make sure all the task has been enabled.

Again, Firewall -> Customize -> Network Profiles -> change all the profiles from public to Private.

Thanks for the quick response. Unfortunately the change in firewall settings does not resolve the problem but have now caused the Windows 10 PC to not recognise itself as part of the network. It lists the Windows 7 PC but cannot access it. Diagostocs give error code 0x80070035 with no explanation.
