Tonight for the first time I've gotten this popup.
It's been 2 days and the popups haven't re-occurred. Apparently what I did worked, even though I didn't follow your latest instructions. FYI…this whole thing was a byproduct of trying to upgrade to Windows 10. I did the upgrade, but Windows 10 didn't recognize the existence of my ethernet card. After a day of trying to get it to work, I gave up and started to restore Windows 8.1. That was also problemmatic, though, and ultimately I had to uninstall AVG in order to get it to complete the restoration. Here's a tip…in your next version, include the capability of disabling AVG until it's started again by the customer. When one is doing a Windows OS upgrade or restore, just being able to disable AVG "until restart" is insufficient.
Hi Charlene.
Thank you for your efforts. Please note the AVG Remover tool that you used will only delete the older installation files associated with the AVG Antivirus program. I would request you to manually uninstall "AVG" from your control panel. Please note: AVG Protection that you have purchased is an advanced version of AVG Antivirus. I would request you run the remover tool again and I have send you an email with instructions to install AVG Protection program. This should resolve your issue. Please get in touch with us for any further assistance. Thank you.
Hello Charlene.
I apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.
In order to analyze the root cause of the issue, please provide the screenshot of the popup.
Thank you.
Tonight (9/23/15) I performed a clean uninstall by downloading the avg_remover_stf_x64_2015_5501.exe file from your website, then installed AVG again. I'll let you know if this solves the problem or not. I noticed, however, that the AVG clean uninstall doesn't touch Zen.
I keep getting an annoying popup that says "Important Notice", "We're unable to extend your subscription." "Your protection expires in 140 days. Please update your payment details to renew your subsciption & stay fully protected".
When I click on the "Update Payment Details" button it takes me online to a page that's trying to sell me AVG Protection Pro. I'm using AVG Antivirus (NOT free). If this annoying popup doesn't go away I definitely will NOT be renewing my AVG product in 140 days!
