Anti-Track causing issue with Facebook

A little over 24 hours ago, my browser and email stopped working.

I upgraded to the AVG Ultimate Bundle in July. I had to turn off Secure VPN weeks ago because it made everything so slow. Now it's still slow enough that I have to reload some pages multiple times until they load fully. But yesterday my world came to a complete standstill. I also got a message every time I restarted to say that the Privacy Filter was preventing the restart. It would appear that Anti-Track is the culprit.

I tried the suggested solution of clicking on the last bar …

Open AVG -> Hacker attacks -> firewall -> application rules -> Select AVG sro -> Antitrack filter. Against AntiTrack filter, you will see vertical bars indicating the connections allowed for this filter through AVG firewall.
Click the last bar to allow all connections and verify if that resolves the issue.

… but to no avail. Now I have quit Anti-Track and everything seems to be working correctly … for the moment.

Will these apps be fixed, or will I have to downgrade back to where I was before?

The problem is last Antitrack update. Lots and lots of users are having the same problem. Same for me.

And AVG people here... are sending instructions via email, instead of posting the solution HERE. It seems to be so secret stuff!!!! LOL

And much better if they released another update, fixing this problem once and for all. But they don't ;)

Meanwhile... just:

- Uncheck "run antitrack at windows start" on the antitrack options (for not having to do the next 2 steps each time you turn on your computer)

- Close antitrack from the system tray

- Kill "avgantitrackfilter.exe" proccess in the task manager

DONE. You will have your internet connection working perfectly again.

And the MOST IMPORTANT step: DEMAND AVG FOR REFUND, as they sold you a completely crappy software.
