AVG answered my question and referred me to a site that I had already been on several times. It is clearly not of any use in having anything but expected problems solved by an already written algorithm for technical problems. There is nothing to allow me to ask for the inappropriate emails to stop. I wonder why Avast doesn't talk with AVG so they don't try to make me double-up with products?
Hi Peter,
We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.
We will check and help you with this issue.
We have sent you an email informing about the AVG product details and please reply to that email for further assistance.
Thank you.
I have the emails you sent me and asked for my reply, but your system does not allow for my reply by email.
I agree that you "merge" my products - as offered.
I have also the problem that whenever I run AVG Internet Security - Smart Scan and get through the scans for Malware and then Advanced scans I invariably get a screen saying: "Did you know Your computer has lots of hidden trackers" and then iy leads me screen by screen trying to sell me AVG AntiTrack, which as you know I already have. I would confer with you by email as suggested if only you had an address that will accept my emails.
Yes, I have that email but when I tried to reply to it I got another email saying I can't reply to it. This is what I tried to reply:
Thank you.
You can see how many AVG products I have been paying for. I don't need or want Avast products that do the same things and don't want to keep getting emails telling me I need more products.
I'm unsure how I have both AVG and Avast VPN; maybe I was sort of tricked into signing up for the Avast version while already having the AVG version; I just don't know. I am nearly 77 years old and am not a tech wizz so can fall for advertising and requests to "renew" for products that don't need renewal. Do you think I should cancel the AVG or Avast VPN?
I also get emails saying I need AVG AntiTrack when I already have it. Quite annoying.
