Do you have other third party antivirus program installed on your PC?

OS: Win7

I have recently updated my AVG AntiVirus FREE and it is saying that my computer protection is turned off for some reason. I double checked the computer protection and I have manually turned it off and on again to ensure that it's on. The warning message still displays saying "Computer Protection is turned off", I don't know what is happening. I tried to uninstall the product and reinstall it again to see if the problem still occurs. Disappointed, the error message is still there and I have checked everything is up to date.

It would be helpful if you could provide the screenshot (http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-create-a-screenshot)of the AVG Antivirus free dashboard to check and assist further.

I only have AVG AntiVirus FREE and AVG PC TuneUp installed on my Computer. I think this should not matter as they are different programs. There aren't any other third-party antivirus programs installed on my PC.

Thank you for providing the screenshot. Please repair AVG Internet security http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-repair-AVG from the control panel, restart the PC and then check the status.

If the issue persists, then uninstall AVG free from the control panel and reinstall the program Download Free Antivirus Software for PC | AVG Virus Protection to fix the issue.
