AntiVirus Free quarantined then deleted an .exe file

Hi Mike,

AVG will detect any files that can harm your computer.
You will receive prompt based on the threat level to remove or move the file to quarantine.
I'm afraid there isn't any option to restore the threat files deleted by AVG AntiVirus.
You can redownload/reinstall the editing application and check with the program.
If you receive the threat popup again after reinstalling the program, please provide us the screenshot of the popup to assist further.
You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on Answer & then click on the Image [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

I was opening up an editing application that I use almost every day when an AntiVirus Free message popped up saying that it was too big to quarantine. As it was a program I use a lot I closed the pop-up bubble but then the program wouldn't open.

I did some searching on this forum and the closest incident to mine that I found was this - Restore a deleted file... | AVG

Like that other user, I have searched for the .exe file in the Quarantine tab but it isn't there and I really need to access it again. I'd like to restore the file ASAP and prevent it from being deleted again at random in the future.

Thanks
