Clicking "fix now" under PC Health leads to three screens telling me that my computer (a) has no virus protection, (b) has no spyware protection, and (c) has never been checked for disk errors. There were two other "problems found" in addition to these, but I went ahead and took care of them. But the three remaining "problems found" appear to require me to buy something. In the case of virus protection, for example, there is a link for installing an "up-to-date" virus protection program – which is what I thought I already had. Clearly, I don't want to make a double purchase, so I'm confused as to what my next step should be.

Hi Stephen, please don't be worried AVG Internet security provides complete virus protection. You conform this by opening the AVG Internet security and in that you will find five tabs Computer, Email, Web, Identity and firewall, please make sure all the tabs show full green and 100 % protected.
This issue can be solved by reinstalling the AVG PC Tune Up. But I don't recommend it because you are using the AVG trial version. Please check if your AVG Internet security is 2015 version and also try to update the software. If AVG Internet security is completely active and all tabs show full green then you don't have to worry even if you get alert message that there is no anti virus installed in the system cause this issue might be due to some configuration error and yes AVG Pc Tune Up is a separate software and you have to purchase it separately, we offer one month free trial for AVG Pc Tune Up.
Hello Stephen. I do understand that in AVG PC TuneUp under PC Health it is showing that you don't have Ant-virus or Anti-spyware even when you have AVG Internet Security on your pc. Have you tried clicking on "fix now" option under PC Health?
Some related questions: Most importantly, I renewed my AVG Internet Security License a month or two ago, and was instructed via email that it needed to be re-activated – which I did today. I then downloaded the one-time free fix with AVG PC TuneUp. After that fix was completed, however, the dashboard (under PC Health) told me that no anti-virus or anti-spyware program was active, and that my system drive has never been checked for errors. I'm not sure about the anti-spyware or system errors, but doesn't AVG Internet Security provide me with virus protection? If not, I'm not sure what I've been paying for the past few years. Are separate purchases required for spyware protection and correcting system errors? Finally, it appears that the one-time free fix with AVG PC TuneUp is only valid for 60 days. Is that correct?

Hello Stephen. I can understand your frustration. I apologize for the inconvenience caused. Please try activating your AVG Internet Security program once by following the instructions mentioned in this link: http://bit.ly/1bsLsmy and then optimize your PC once using AVG PC TuneUp again. See whether do you have the same error message displayed under PC health. Thank you.
