I understand your concern. Have you disabled AVG protection on your computer and checked if you are able to access AOL desktop? If not, please disable AVG Protection temporarily in your computer and check.
To disable AVG temporarily, please right click on the AVG icon present at the bottom right corner of your desktop(System Tray) and you can see a scroll bar to "Disable Protection". Please click on the same to disable AVG Protection and check if you are able to access this application.

AOL is stopping its desktop program for WINDOWS XP users and says we should install its new AOL Shield browser. It is supposed to check for viruses, keystroke logging, etc. Has anyone installed it? Are there any conflicts with our AVG program? I don't want to screw up my AVG.
