Sorry, this is a BS excuse - one third slower? OK? BUT 10 times slower??? NOPE! I would like a full refund and cancellation. IF I ONLY post this to my friends and their friends, that is 10k plus who won't use you! Just refund it and move on - and talk to your coding crew! Jeez!!
Like Noel, I am having issues with AVG VPN. I currently have a 500Mbps+ connection with Virgin Media in the UK. I was initially disappointed with the speeds I was getting (on average around 50 - 60Mbps) and was originially going to fire off an email to VM complaining about the poor speed for what I was paying for. However, I thought I would try closing down on my AVG VPN and give it a couple of tests. The result? BANG! Straight up to speeds in excess of 500Mbps. I understand that going through a VPN reduces broadband speed by around 10 percent, but TEN TIMES SLOWER?
And yes, my tests were carried out using different VPN servers at other locations. I'm looking for a cancellation and refund if this cannot be sorted out.
I uninstalled AVG VPN as well Antitrack, TuneUp. and other ULTIMATE tools just so I could use my computer again.
I installed AVG VPN on Friday, and switched it off this morning. It has made my PC virtually unuseable! SLOW SLOW SLOW until I turn it off, then FAST again. I am really not happy with it!
We acknowledge the request and confirm your right for refund.
However, this issue could be caused due to issues with connection to the VPN server.
Could you try connecting to a different VPN server at another location and verify this issue?
If the issue persists, we will certainly proceed with your refund request.
Hi Noel,
This isn't the experience we want you to have. Let us clarify this for you.
You may experience a slower internet connection when using AVG Secure VPN.
This is because a VPN encrypts traffic and data before sending it to a server.
Depending on the distance and capacity of the server, this process may cause a slightly slower, but safer, internet connection.
However, you can try connecting to different servers (locations) in AVG Secure VPN to identify the server that provides better connectivity.
Thank you for your understanding in advance!
