Hello, Rene.
Are you using a trial version of AVG Secure VPN? Please try to change the location on AVG Secure VPN and check the issue. If that does not help, please uninstall AVG Secure VPN as per the steps in this link and re install it.

No, not a trail version.   Any my location is Chicago, so nothing exotic.

Hi,

I am using FTPClient to download files from an FTP site through a daily cron job.  Ever since In installed AVG Secure VPN, my connections is failing with:
425 Cannot open data connection.

This download program is a Java application with the following maven dependency providing the FTP access:

<dependency>
    <groupId>commons-net</groupId>
    <artifactId>commons-net</artifactId>
    <version>3.5</version>
</dependency>

When I turn off the VPN, then everything works as expected.

Can someone assist me to configure Secure VPN so that FTP downloads are allowed?
