Auto renew is not a good option.  Especially when you another party to process these.  Sending an email to someone may not be a good way either.  What if they are no longer using the email for some reason.  Then they never find out and you just keep renewing or worse if the person has died then you will just be charging them and the people administreing the account will not anything about this auto renewal.
