Automatic virusscan usb-stick etc

^ Are you kidding me? So you're saying that AVG suddenly decided to "upgrade" itself and just completely removed a key feature without even informing the users?

You're saying for the past few months I've been inserting USBs left and right thinking my "trusty" avg will give me a popup if something were wrong with this but instead it was doing absolutely nothing?

That's it. I'm uninstalling AVG. I'd rather prefer a bad anti-virus that at least tells me what I can expect and cannot from it rather than something which gives me a false sense of security.

Hello Hans,
Unfortunately the automatic scan feature is not there for USB devices in latest version of AVG.
You need to run manual scan for USB devices.

Our developers will analyze and get back to you.
Thank you.

On Mai 1, 2017, I got an automatic upgrade to AVG AntiVirus Free 17.3.3011. This new version no longer automatically launches a scan of a USB stick, etc., as soon as that USB stick is connected to the computer. I have checked all the settings and studied the entire Help feature but can not find anything to solve this problem. Is that a bug in the new version or do I do something wrong?

Hello Hans,
We would like to inform you that AVG will protect your computer from virus but you need to do the scan manually for the USB drives.
You need to right click on the USB Drives to scan once it is plugged in.
Unfortunately, we do not have an option to scan automatically in the new version.
As suggested by the last agent, you can send your valuable feedback to our developers team in the link provided.
So that these features might be implemented in the future updates.
Thank you.

Hello Vedant,

I am sorry to know that you aren't happy with the recent update of AVG 2017 version.
I request you to provide the feedback to implement the scanning of USB devices when it is inserted, hence it will reach our developers and it can be added as soon as possible.

Do I well understand, that my computer with AVG AntiVirus Free 17.3.3011 is no longer automatically protected against an usb-stick (or other usb-device) with virus? What happens if an usb-stick (or other usb-device) with virus is going to be connected to my computer?
