how do I find : AVG-> F8-> AVG Self Protection ???

After 6 days of computer and printer issues HP has advised me that AV 2015 will not allow my HP Printer to work property.  I can disable the AV and the printer works fine.  I have been running this system for a while without problems.  What has AVG done to correct this problem?  Is there a patch or fix from AVG to correct this issue?  At this point, everytime I have to print something, I have to disable AVG, print, then enable AVG again! Not happening with other computers running Windows 7 and Windows Vista.
