Had an AVG false positive on file - SearchFilterHost on 20th July
Then got the AVG false positive on 22nd July on file - c:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe
Today (25th July) I'm getting an AVG alert on on file - c:\Windows\System32\wuauclt.exe
I've submitted an email to AVG and got back the standard reply - scan the file with VirusTotal and provide the SHA256 hash from VirusTotal result.
VirusTotal can't scan the fil i get message you don't have permission even though im logged in as administrator. Passed this on to AVG support and waiting to hear back.
Is this really the 3rd AVG False positive in 5 days ! I've wasted so much time chasing round PC's with AVG alerts.
Is this ANOTHER FALSE POSITIVE ? Whats going on AVG?
