Having trouble with AVG Email protection and theBat! email client. I get the following error

>11/04/2020, 13:25:21: FETCH - Issuer: generated by AVG Antivirus for SSL/TLS scanning, AVG Web/Mail Shield, AVG Web/Mail Shield Root.
!11/04/2020, 13:25:21: FETCH - TLS handshake failure. Invalid server certificate. The certificate or certificate chain is based on an untrusted root.
Turning AVG email shield off fixes the problem. Any help appreciated.
