Hi Johan,
We are here to help you. Mostly this issue will occur if there is any old traces of AVG left on the device so we recommend you to run AVG Clear and Remover tool to uninstall AVG.
Follow the below suggested steps and check if that helps.
1. Run AVG Clear.( https://t.co/86XWCNrANP)
2. Restart PC.
3. Run AVG Remover and remove all AVG products. (https://t.co/1ZDFAuXLoM)
4. Restart PC.
Thanks for all the very technical instructions…however, as im no computer software scientist I still have some questions …to put the whole thing in context ,my original question is how do I get the latest version of windows 10 to install whlist I also have a current paid for avg internet security ? I suspect the advice you have provided only relates to uninstalling then reinstalling avg ?? Am I correct so far?? Assuming I am correct so far then the advice you have given is only the solution to one part of a string of operations i need to undertake in order to successfully install the latest version of windows 10 whilst also being the proud owner of a paid for version of AVG.
So as in many engineering solutions there are a string of different operations which must be undertaken in a specific sequence in order for the remedy to be installed …Im assuming in this case - and this is where I need your advice also - is the sequewhere commences by performing operations…I dont want to waste any more time with your software loosing the will to live by randomly trying various operations in various sequences until by chance I hit upon the correct one…so let us take for simplicity sake
take a general example that operations ABCD must be performed in a specific sequence . You
appear to have given me detailed instructions for say operation C , but I still dont know where exactly in
the sequence I have to perform the operation or what any of the other operations are. So could you please give a short summary of the entire operation I have to perform eg something along the lines of : step 1 : unistall avg as per instructed ; step 2 install upgrade to windows 10; step 3 : reinstall Avg…
Please consider your response and advise accordingly.
