Per Nisha Sivakumar (AVG) recommendation, I am submitting a separate post. I receive the same error that user Eirik Bakke receives when attempting enable tracking protection and detection in the settings of AVG Antitrack on my MacBook Pro 14".
The link below is to Eirik's post of the same issue.
AVG AntiTrack - unable to activate browser protection and... | AVG
MacBook Pro 14" with M1 Pro processor
macOS Monterey 12.1
Kernel Version Darwin 21.2.0
AVG Antitrack version 1.5.0
Error received:
Error occurred changing tracking detection (WebProxyProcessError.terminated("["standardError": sudo: unable to execute /Users/jasper/Library/Application Support/AVG AntiTrack/capture/AVG AntiTrack: Permission denied\n, "retriesCount": 0, "status": 1, "shouldRelaunch": true]"))
When I navigate to the folder specified in the error, I am able to execute the AVG AntiTrack unix Executable File. It opens Terminal and establishes a proxy server listening at http://*:8080.
This does not appear to resolve anything. I am still unable to enable the tracking detection.
