Hi there,

I am currently experiencing the same issue with a crash during the disc scan.  I downloaded it initially and managed to get a scan compelted and quarantined/deleted 3 files.  I went to do another scan, and the program crashes everytime now.  I uninstalled and reinstalled with no luck.

Same error message as screenshot above.  
Mac -  OSX El Capitan 10.11.6

AVG antivirus on Macbook air keeps on crashing after running disc scan

Ive uninstalled and reinstalled but getting same error message - AVG antivirus quit unexpectedly

what options do I have to fix this?

Dominic, To take a screenshot in MAC, please follow the below instructions : 1. To capture the entire screen, press Command-Shift-3. The screen shot will be automatically saved as a PNG file on your desktop with the filename starting with “Picture” followed by a number, example Picture 1, Picture 2, and so on. 
2. To copy the entire screen, press Command-Control-Shift-3. The screen shot will be placed on your clipboard for you to paste into another program like PowerPoint, Word, Photoshop, etc.
For your info, just in case that you are unaware, you can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

Hello Pandi.  I am having the same issue.  In your reply above you mention instructions for reinstalling, but I don't see any instructions by a technician in this thread. Is therea fix yet?
