I've been using this program for while now and it worked just fine. After an update it started crashing when trying to start a scan, either of the entire Mac or of a single file. Even the icon in the finder disappears. After restarting the program it sometimes works, but never when used first after a fresh start of the Mac. I am using a Mac Book Pro Late 2016 and the latest OS (10.12.3). 

The problem first occurred after it detected a JS-Nimda-B trojan but was unable to delete it or put it into quarantine. This problem stopped occurring after an update of the virus definitions, but the crashes continue to happen.

A complete uninstall, fresh start and new download did not solve the problem.
